MEPEQ has announced a new partnership with the International Centre for Industrial Transformation (INCIT) aimed at driving smart and sustainable manufacturing solutions for companies worldwide.

This partnership ensures the delivery of impactful assessments and supports manufacturers with fundamental education and concepts of Industry 4.0 to inspire the next implementation steps.

MEPEQ assesses the smart manufacturing maturity of factories based on the Smart Industry Readiness Index (SIRI) assessment framework, which provides an independent review of a company’s manufacturing operations, offering a thorough evaluation of Industry 4.0 maturity levels. It covers the company’s internal processes, the technological status of its manufacturing facilities, and organizational readiness for digital transformation.

Through this assessment, MEPEQ identifies and prioritizes key areas for digitalization, highlighting improvements that yield the most significant benefits for the business. Some of these enhancements may involve automation and connectivity on the shop floor. These areas constitute MEPEQ’s core expertise and enable it to provide valuable insights into the feasibility and value of any development initiative.

MEPEQ focuses on adding value to these crucial aspects of smart manufacturing, leveraging not only its expert eye for optimization and efficiency but also its forward-thinking strategies that align with the evolving landscape of smart manufacturing.

The SIRI Assessment Matrix is the world’s first Industry 4.0 self-diagnostic tool, designed to balance technical rigor, usability, and relevance.

It comprises 3 main layers including: 3 fundamental Industry 4.0 building blocks, 8 key pillars crucial for future readiness in organizations, and 16 dimensions for evaluating current Industry 4.0 readiness in the company’s factories or plants. Six ascending bands are tied to each of the 16 SIRI dimensions, with each band describing a specific state within that dimension. This provides a snapshot of a manufacturing facility’s current Industry 4.0 maturity level, known as the Assessment Matrix Score.

SIRI comprises a suite of frameworks and tools to help manufacturers – regardless of size and industry – start, scale and sustain their manufacturing transformation journeys.

INCIT is an Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) institution that champions manufacturing transformation and collaborates with both public and private sector manufacturing related organizations to support industrial transformation and enable global manufacturing to become more resilient, productive, and better positioned for future success.

INCIT is driven by a shared mission to develop and deploy globally referenced Prioritization Indexes, tools, concepts, and programs that create tangible value for the international manufacturing community as they transition through this change.
